Bwin Execs Detained In France, Released On Bail

Co-chief executives of Bwin, Manfred Bodner and Norbert Teufelberger, were detained in France Friday and accused of violating the country's gambling laws. The two have been released on bail and are free to return to Austria (where Bwin in based).
France is challenging Bwin's right to accept wagers from that country. Bwin actively advertises in France, as well as many other European countries. The company is famous for its sportsbook, though it also recently acquired Ongame, the company that owns Poker Room.
